Les Selensky
Professional Engineer and Principal

WindShore Engineering is the next generation company originally started as LJS Engineering, LLC by Les Selensky, P.E., CMQ-OE in Rockport, Texas in May of 2017.  Les has a BS in Engineering Technology and Construction Management, and another BS in Civil Engineering from Texas Tech University, and an MBA in Marketing & Management from University of Dallas.  Les has over 25 years of experience in engineering and construction program management at TxDot, HNTB, Lamb-Star Engineering and SAM-Construction Services.   He is also an Appointed Qualified Inspector (AQI), which is an engineer who is approved by the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) to inspect on their behalf.  Les is a workaholic, but moved to Rockport seeking “coastal treatment”, and loves people, fishing, hunting and shredding brush on his acreage in Rockport


Gavin Martinez
Staff Engineer

Gavin Martinez is an Engineer in Training, with a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado.  Gavin has passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Test, the qualifying exam towards attaining his Professional Engineering designation, and is currently completing his experience requirements to achieve his professional accreditation.  Gavin has worked as a Field Engineer and Project Coordinator with Crossfire, LLC, a commercial construction and excavation company based out of Colorado.  He has also had experience as a Design Engineer, Project Manager and Recreational Specialist in various internships through college.  Gavin is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys fishing, hunting and all things to do with outdoor activities, and loves the Coastal Bend area.


Wade Roper
Operations and Inspections

Wade Roper graduated from the Art Institute of Dallas with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design. Wade quickly made the jump from Interior Design to a career in Architecture in 2007 and settled in with a North Texas multifamily architecture firm for the next 12 years. Wade has extensive experience in design, project management, and construction administration.  His experience includes working from schematic design and drafting, all the way through construction administration and inspection on multi-family and commercial projects all over the state of Texas. His knowledge of architecture and design gives Wade a “three dimensional” knowledge and understanding of construction management and windstorm inspecting. When Wade isn’t directing operations, managing a major project or solving client issues, you will likely find him at the business-end of a speckled trout rig in the middle of Aransas Bay.  He has one 4-legged child with a long black tail named Levi, whose been known to fetch up ducks and dove as long as Wade can hit them.


Russ Ungerman
Senior Inspector

Russ Ungerman graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree with a minor in accounting from Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, Florida.  Russ has over 25 years of financial and construction experience, had his own contracting businesses in Kentucky and Texas, and most recently was an independent claims adjuster for handling both commercial and residential property losses.  Russ moved to Corpus Christi with his wife and 3 daughters in 2015, and they love their new home in the Coastal Bend.  When he isn’t climbing on roofs and inspecting slabs, Russ enjoys hiking, woodworking, traveling, and other outdoor activities with his family.


Teresa Rinehart
Finance Manager

Teresa Rinehart studied Business Management and Accounting at Western Governors University in Salt Lake City, Utah.  She has an extensive background in office management, accounting, administration, personnel, payroll, procurement and marketing.  Teresa was co-owner and CFO of an oilfield services company with 50 employees and 3 field offices based out of Riverton Wyoming with offices in Wyoming and Pennsylvania.  Being raised on a Dairy farm, Teresa is not afraid of hard work and enjoys a good day at the office.  She also owned a ranch in Kinnear, Wyoming where she and her husband Mike grew alfalfa and corn before selling out and moving to Rockport.  In her spare time Teresa enjoys traveling, gardening, hunting, fishing and relaxing with her family.  She and Mike have three children and three grandchildren along with their two fur-babies Josie the Jack Russell Terrier and Bailey the Red Healer.


Roy Riojas
Staff Inspector

Roy Riojas graduated from the Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Ocean and Coastal Resources. Aside from a short career stint as a superintendent for a marine shipping loading and unloading company, Roy’s primary experience has been in construction. He grew up in a construction family, where he learned how to build structures from the ground floor up and worked for the family construction company during and through college. During this time he learned all aspects of the building trades, including how to operate several types of heavy equipment.  Most recently Roy was a Construction Manager for Habitat for Humanity, with full construction management responsibility over the rebuilding efforts after Hurricane Harvey in the Coastal Bend. Roy is a talented musician, who plays drums and just about any stringed instrument. On the weekends you might find Roy shooting, wrenching, kite surfing, surfing, or fishing, but come Sunday morning you’ll find him setting the rhythm behind his drum set for morning worship.


Mary Burman
Customer Service Representative

Mary Burman graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2005, earning duel bachelor degrees in both Business Marketing and Chemistry. After graduation, she left the mainland to join the Coast Guard/Merchant Marines, as a navigation and safety officer, traveling between the North Pacific Islands and Norway.  As Mary says, “The saltwater is good for my equilibrium”, so in 2012, she moved to Rockport, Texas.  She can’t claim Texas as her birthplace, but she says “I got here as fast as I could”.   Mary loves the Texas coast and finds passion in helping, improving and supporting people and communities in all walks of life. Eight days after Hurricane Harvey, Mary joined LJS Engineering which has since grown into WindShore Engineering. Mary enjoys surfing, fishing, reading, volunteering and loves anything in and around sunshine and saltwater.
